Work the leather look-rock n roll style!

Dahlings.......Lets’ talk leather trousers.....they are shaping up to be one of this season’s key pieces. But while gabbing with a few of my friends-they expressed their thoughts on wearing them-which ranged  from “Aye right-I’d end up looking like bloody Sandy from Grease” (not a bad look!) to them not wanting to expose their derriere in  our little tight fitting-sometimes unforgiving little friends!!! Although I think there are ways to work them into your wardrobe-without you looking like an extra from a meatloaf video...or “bloody Sandy from Grease” he he.  I have found these fab leather-look trousers from www.quizclothing.co.uk £29.00...perfect! and have created three different looks around them.

Well for someone who is petrified of the dentist-Me! I was always admiring my friends bright white smiles-but never had the guts to go find out about getting my teeth whitened-as it meant an extra visit to Mr Agnew!!!! But for anyone who has the same fears-fear not!! Smile Quest - 143 Dumbarton road-came to my rescue, Lynn who carried out the procedure was so lovely and calming and talked me through everything-and pointed out to me that-the curry I was so looking forward to that night would have to wait.....no food with colourings for at least 24 hours....Aw damn! Also loving this strapless body con dress from Rare(www.rare.co.uk) £59.00. I have tried this dress on and it’s amazing, although it’s quite short- opaque tights will sort that out. Love this Topshop  studded wrap round belt only £20.00 and will see you right through this season. I just fell in love with these shoe boots from ASOS £50.00. Just new in check out these killer heels by Faith £75. So there you go a bit of sparkle and roll......Go for it and twinkle like a little star!!!

Oh I really have a cheek to do this wee section - the whole page should be called Angela loves....Although I do have a few of the little gems already whoo hoo....Check out this amazing Dress by Orion in the sale for £40. I wore it with my ever-faithful black tights, sky high shoes and my biker jacket....Amazing. Which brings me on to my next Delight... oh my god I tried this on yesterday in Topshop and decided I would sleep on it.....and popped it on the hold rail, and as soon as I finish writing this I’ll be popping in to rescue it from the hold rail, oh I can’t wait! And finally, these boots gave me Goosebumps when I saw them, and I love the price tag too £84.99 from River Island.

Hello my darlings...... Airports, let’s talk about what do you wear? I was booked for a fashion shoot in Dubai and decided that since I was travelling myself (minus the kids) I was going to travel in killer heels, black skinnies, checked shirt leather bomber and black aviators...All was going well...Time to go through security, and everyone in heels has to take their shoes off....Oh god trying to get these shoes on and off is a bloody nightmare! Jacket off, belt off, bag, scarf all in the tray, I go through the metal detector and it beeps, so i get searched, and have to go through again...beep..turns out it was  the button on my jeans as I walk over to the tray containing all my belongings... I’m horrified that my shoes are on their belly sporting in full glory their £35.00 Next price ticket....oh no I try to peel it off and it rips halfway down.... (Not a good look at all) it takes me about 10 mins to get myself all accessorised again and off i set, first stop is Boots to get nail varnish remover pads which does the trick on my soles. So I’m on the plane bursting with excitement as I see my seat in Business Class Ahhhhhhhhh oh my god.....As I enjoy a wee glass of champagne and canapés I decide to slip off  my shoes and pop on the little flight socks, I’m so excited by all the wee goodies in my flight pack..toothbrush and baby sized tube of Colgate, a little neck cushion....About two hours in I decide to check out the toilets so I slip off the flight socks and reach for the strappy heels, And I’m thinking someone has replaced my size 6’S with little size 3’S and my feet have swollen so much I can’t get the bloody things zipped......Not a good look swollen toots puffing out the straps!!!!  Half zipped I hobble off to the toilet....The plane lands  my feet are screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as I reach for the dreaded heels......Once on my feet look as though I have elephantitus... It is at this point I vow never to travel in heels again.....Converse all the way!
Oh my God I had the most amazing time in Dubai I stayed in the Mina Salam which is part of the Jumeirah Resort, with its own private beach, I had finished early one day and decided on a bit of sunbathing , As I lay sunning myself one of the hotel staff approached with a wee bucket, with cold towels.......”towels for you madam” oh yes please...Amazing... he also hands me two slices of cucumber........which I promptly start munching.....As I see the look on his face as he offers me another two slices.....it dawns on me that.... they are for my eyes...Not to eat!!!!

Designers every year find new ways of reworking  black and white in the most amazing ways, monochrome is timeless and never fails to gain attention when worn properly......The high street have some great dresses just now her is four of my favourites ..From left to right. Style Me fabulous by Angela 

Hello again my lovelies, I was styling a shoot for a new Scottish magazine Posed, this week and the clothes were just to die for –well maybe not to die for-I’d possibly run a marathon naked for them though! Stay focused Angela. I borrowed some amazing dresses from Cruise on Ingram St, and my favorite was a Mathew Williamson layered chiffon floor length dress with lots of pinks and purples merging together, with a waist belt made up of tiny black beads(Available from Cruise £1,455.00)…..oh it was stunning. As I made my way up to the photographic 4th floor studio, (all 30 stairs)I had carried too much….. was panting and had a layer of misty sweat… when I stepped round the corner and the photographer was at the door….. I didn’t have a minute to get myself together, so there I was out of breath suit carriers hanging off every possible finger, panting my hello’s…. (Looking like I had just ran that marathon for Mr. Williamson’s dress)  But the day just got better the model, was one of the most naturally beautiful  girls I have ever seen, the clothes looked great and so did Rachel as the wind machine gently moved her hair and the clothes(I love wind machine’s if I ever won the lottery I would employ someone to follow me around with one!) We finished off about six o’clock; I was feeling delirious at how well the day had gone that, I celebrated with a cold Corona and Glasgow’s BEST burger from Stravaigin….. Oh what a way to end a perfect day!                                                                                              

 All white on the night

 After falling in love with this Balmain trophy  jacket….I had to face the reality that £2,270 was not in my budget , but had to find something just as fantastic …..Ta Da…All Saints have just what I’m looking for and doesn’t empty my piggy bank either at £145.00….So I’m delighted and decide to team my new jacket with an old pair of boyfriend fit Levis (Vintage Dahling) passed onto me from my dad, roll the bottoms,  pop on some fabTan gladiator heels from Kurt Geiger, Chunky tan belt ,Little white vest top and I’m good to go……..Oh.. not forgetting a slickof Shy Girl my new Mac lipstick, bit of Nars bronzer, spritz of Jo Malone…....Now I’m good to
