GQ Men of the Year-Beauty round-up! PDF Print E-mail

Last night was the GQ men of the year awards but lets face it, we’re only interested in the ladies who attended!  There were some good, not too sure and funny moments from the event so here’s our own awards from the event:

Lily Allen keeps it chic with her bronze make-up ... bringing back the 80's noughties style.

Eva Mendes gets best red carpet by keeping her starlet hair and make-up subtle yet polished.

Kelly Brook’s cute, 60’s Brigitte Bardot look gets our vote for most fun and staying true to signature style.

And our bonus award goes to Natalie Imbruglia for her passion red lips.

And finally: on the not ‘quite sure’ end of the spectrum, our award goes to:

Rachel Stevens for her perm attempt.  We know it’s making a come back but it seems you either suit it or you don’t.

Tips and tricks: The twist-up slim-line design makes application mess-free and fast! Starting at the apple of your cheeks, apply rush hour using whisker-like strokes. Blend evenly with fingertips. Then dot on lips and you're gorgeous in a flash!

BENEFIT:POWDERFLAGE

 powderflage

For camouflaging dark circles & fines lines, powderflage is fast, easy, light & breezy! Virtually weightless, this silky, light pink powder magically camouflages & diffuses. The "flager" brush conceals in 2 quick strokes. Use powderflage alone for light, bright concealing & diffusing or over your cream concealers for x-tra coverage.

Tips and tricks: With "flager" brush, sweep powderflage over dark circles or lines you want to diffuse. Use alone or over makeup.

MAC:SHADOW PAINT

 Paints

For a quick fix eye colour and no need for brushes try this high performance eye shadow product which goes on creamy; dries to a powdery finish. It is ideal for colour-intensive, texture-rich looks that need to last. Made with concentrated pearl pigments in a cream colour formulation, the "transformative" abilities of M·A·C Paints allow for easy application, blendability, and flexibility of coverage. Its transfer-resistant finish creates a smooth, crease-free, slightly shiny, reflective look to the lid which will look great in the evening.

MAC:EYE KOHL

 Eye Kohl

To get maxium results with minimum effort you can't go wrong without a soft-on pencil liner that lines, defines and shades the eyes with rich colour and a silky-smooth, matte/pearl finish.

NARS:DUO CONCEALER

 Duo Concealer

If you have had a tiring day in the office and need to get rid of those dark circles or blemishes then you'll need a quick cover up with The NARS Duo Concealer palette features two complementary shades to suit an array of complexions.

The lighter shade brings brightness to the eyes, while the darker one can be used to blend directly with skin tone. Duo Concealer is lightweight but still able to provide smooth, opaque coverage to eradicate skin redness, imperfections, and under-eye shadows.

CHANEL:LIPCOLOUR

Your eyes and your lips should never compete for attention. You have gone with a subtle but effective eye colour this means you can glam up your lips with this classic bold Rouge Allure lipcolour which is just screaming take me out on the town.
